The characters of Jofe Karsi have gone through a lot, but what if...they lived in a different world?
One with textbooks and homework.
One with late bells and teachers.
What if they lived in a world much like ours? What if they too had to survive through high school?
Maybe we can find out.
Alright, so here's the template to PM me if you want to join, the more characters the better (must be registered):
Name: Hair color and style: Typical clothing: Favorite class: After school activity/Club: (If none, put none. Chorus and band would apply here, can have more than one) Type of student: (Straight A, Just passing, Average, Slacker, Class Clown, Trouble Maker, etc)
They will all be in the same grade and have the same schedule (just to make it easier), they will also have no relation to those they normally would (unless say...Cynyr and Bane were brothers, but if QT were a teacher, he wouldn't be Cynyr and Bane's father as well.) Also, they'll all be human.
Schedule:
1st Period: Math with Mr. (Miku) Miyaka (coaches soccer) 2nd Period: Gym with Mr. (Xan) Smith (coaches track) 3rd Period: English with Mr. (Yoko) Kitaru 4th Period: Health with Ms. (Shijiku) Uraji Lunch 5th Period: Science with Mr. (Benedict) Arnold 6th Period: Art with Mrs. (Yuri) Mikano 7th Period: History with Mrs. (Dannie) Walker 8th Period: Study Hall with Mr. Miyaka
Current Student Roster:
Oroku Aoyagi (timid average student, considered a loser/nerd. Has no friends. Is not in any clubs) Pete Asiosi (Troublemaker on the football and basketball teams) Sythiuss Hawthorne ("A straight-A student that keeps to himself. His intimidating appearence keeps people from starting crud with him, but if he feels his honour is challenged, he will start "trouble", as one might say." Not in any clubs) Jen Inoue (Preppish, on cheerleading team, chorus, prom commitee, and drama club) Lupei Inoue (Jen's twin. A/B average. Stuck up, superiority complex. In Cheerleading and dance, strings orchestra, prom committee) Steve and Jordon Johnson (Twins who are always together. A bit below average with grades and class clowns) Limetsu Kairin (Straight A student. On the trivia competition team) Zylia Keller (Average student not in any clubs) Shikaru Kenshima (Good at gym and other classes, but is lazy. Not in any clubs) Johnathon "QT" Lesent (Slacker) Vash Lesent (Passing, tries to avoid trouble. Created the dragon club) Bane Lyren (A slacker, but manages to keep grades just enough to stay on the track team) Cynyr Lyren (A flirty slacker. Not in any clubs) Zepeta Lyren (Bane, Cynyr, and Ziva's younger cousin who skipped grades. Currently not in any clubs) Ziva Lyren (Straight A student. On the trivia competition team and in the book club) Kamon McDowell (Just passing) Ty Nesnej (Straight A student. Not in any clubs) Alicia Perka (Average student, though needs a bit of help in some classes. In chorus) Ted Rusekas (Class clown, friends with just about everyone. B/C Average. In Chorus, band, jazz band, drum line, yearbook committee) Awshe Shinomori (A/B student who doesn't really try. Is a 'pimp') Asha Sorek (Straight A student in book club) Kaori Taiki (Straight A student. A bit antisocial. In National Honors Society, Trivia Competition Team, and FFA) Rayne Talmont ("Not exactly a slacker, not exactly a trouble maker, kind of average. She'll do the work if she sees a point in it , but will start shit if she gets pissed off.") Bycema Tibs (Average student. On the basketball team.) Mathew Wallace (Average student on the soccer team) Lyra Young (Straight A student. Not in any clubs) Lucifer Zachenik (Average. On football team. Vince's brother) Vince Zachenik ("D student, one of those smokes-crack-in-the-bathroom guys") Ezra Zash (Just passing, not that good at most things. On soccer team) Thorn Zelri (Slacker and bully. Not in any clubs)

Oroku sighed, slinging the messenger bag over his slender shoulders as he got off the bus. First day of school. Again. Oh how he dreaded entering that large building every fall. "So nice to be back in school...isn't it?" A cool voice asked, one that the frail, ponytailed boy could ascribe most of his school troubles to. He made an attempt to bypass the dyed-blue haired, larger boy, but soon found himself trapped. A laugh escaped Thorn, making Oroku cringe and try to hide himself against the wall... "Thorn, leave him alone," The voice seemed to be trying to enjoin Thorn, and given who it came from, hope began to fill Oroku. Shikaru was probably the best student in the school, though her grades didn't show it one bit. Her lackadaisical attitude kept her from reaching the top of the class. Of course, she also had a knack for forgetting things, namely homework. "Yeah, maybe I'll be late to class," Thorn laughed. Oroku knew of his seditious ways...Thorn probably wouldn't even go to class. However, the blue haired teen stalked away. Shikaru looked at Oroku, he knew that her helping him was because she commiserated with him. He smiled at her a moment before scampering off, not liking the look in her eyes. --- As he entered the math room, he quickly adjusted his bag, and looked at the seating chart. He was sitting next to...Pete A? He gulped, knowing that he was one of those kids who played sports, much more powerful than he was. He also saw Thorn's name on the chart...but wasn't too worried about that. He sat in his seat, the bell wouldn't ring for a bit and he was the only one in the room.

The young man entered the classroom nonchalantly, making a faint *chink* and a nice *thud* with each step his steel-toed, jet-black boots made against the flat, bland floor of the room. Looking something like a mix between a biker and a "goth" with his black leather jacket and various chains hanging off of his clothing. He was in good shape on top of it, lending to his intimidating appearence. He glanced over at the seating chart with his amber eyes. He let out a slight sigh and walked over to his seat, not bothering to even acknowledge the other kid in the room. He hated math.
Especially in the morning.
He did not know who he was sitting with, nor did he care. He just wanted this to happen fast so he could get to a class he liked. English would be nice.
But just his luck, he was sitting across from the only person present in the classroom. Hopefully the kid wasn't talkative. His being was filled with spite, everything he could possibly hate was right here. Math. Morning. People.
He ran a hand through his black hair and waited. He was sure he was going to "enjoy" this.

Almost in a kind of sleepwalk, Ty entered the classroom. She glanced around a bit, looking to see if there was a seating chart. Seeing it, she soon found her seat and collasped down on it, dropping her shoulder bag next to her without care as she put her head down and closed her eyes.
A small sigh escaped from her, as her mind wondered back to her bed back home before she forced herself to lift her head up. She brushed her dirty blond hair out of her eyes a bit and looked back at the seating chart. Ty recognized a couple of people on the seating chart, both liking and disliking the people she knew.
Pete walked into the room next and soon found his seat, next to Oroku and close to Sythiuss. "Well this just sucks." Pete half mumbled, looking over at Oroku and Sythiuss. It was hard to tell if he meant the class and time or the people he was sitting by.
The next people arrived at the same time. QT and Ezra had met up in the hallway and soon learned that they had the same classes. Both of them being tired didn't bother to start up a conversation as they made their way to first period. Soon both of them found where they sat and soon took their seat. QT, like Ty put his head down in the slim chance to get a few more minutes of sleep. While Ezra looked at the seating chart to see who else he was sitting with.
"Aww man...this sucks.." Ezra groaned when he saw the people he's sitting with. He hated Thorn and he hadn't heard good things about Vince.

The slender blonde walked gracefully into the doors of the school. An annoyed look spoiled her attractive face as she glanced around with a pair of emerald eyes. It was such a bother to be back here. Why couldn't senior year come? Better yet, why couldn't senior year be over so she could be done with this tedious place.
A sigh escaped her lips as she began heading in the direction of her first class. Math was a subject she only payed half attention to. It was pointless to her. She would never use the damn subject again, why should she do the work? Maybe if the teacher was alright she would do something, but if he got or her nerves there was no hope for the class.
The blonde didn't notice the red head that entered the door right behind her. The girl carried a back pack, unlike the blonde, and branched off at a hall way to go to her locker and drop it off. Asha took a notebook from the bag with her as she began to head for the math class room. Another year of trying to keep her grades up to satisfy no one but herself. She never felt that she would be good enough so she didn't see why she tried. With her arms wrapped around the notebook, hugging it to her chest, she entered the class room and glanced at the seating chart, soon moving to her seet and staring at the board quietly.
The blond was already in her seat, sighing with boredom. She had ended up being at the same table as Asha.
After a moment another girl came through the math room's door. She was petite with black hair and held onto a book that had nothing to do with the subject of the class. She looked at the seating chart and stared a moment, trying to find her name. She found it after awhile, Lyra Y., right next to someone named Lucifer, then Bycema and Mathew. Their names didn't matter though, she didn't plan on talking to them. She couldn't talk to them.
Lyra made her way to her seat, avoiding eye contact with anyone. She planted herself down and set the book on the desk. It was a medical book, evident from the cover, and she soon had her eyes glued upon what was inside it.

A pair of brothers walked into the room, one with a skip to his step and the other scowling. It was common to see Vince in such a bad mood, and whenever around his brother Lucifer, he looked like he can kill anybody if he wanted to, especially Lucifer himself. This morning wasn't much different.
When the two seperated to take their own seats after checking the seating chart, Vince sent a death glare at Lucifer, who only smirked in reply. Vince often missed the first part of class, if not the whole period, but with it being the first day of school, he was dragged away from the bathrooms and into their first period class by Lucifer. Vince's bad mood only got worse when he discovered that he won't be smoking anytime that morning. He slammed his books onto his desk and unceremoniously collapsed onto his seat, brushing some of his black-and-red hair over his shoulder and away from his golden eyes. His midlength hair, accompanied with his small stature, often has him mistaken as a girl, and the fact that he has a fetish for tight clothes (today he wore mostly leather) doesn't help with his identity crisis. Many people know not to mess with him, though, since every year rumors fly around the school about him, often involving him and his gang and some hopeless victim in an alleyway at night. No one knows if these rumors are true, but they usually have people avoid him at all costs if possible.
Lucifer, on the other hand, isn't as sour natured as his brother. He was more built (he's one of the star players on the school football team), and his curtain of black dreadlocks were tied back. In contrast to his brother's too-pale skin, Lucifer had a deep tan, but he shared the same bright golden-brown eyes. He usually wore more loose-fitting garments, and him in a white collared shirt tucked into a pair of loose-fitting jeans was common.
Following the Zacheniks, another pair of brothers walked in, one with short brown hair and bright green eyes and the other with shoulder-length dirty blond hair tied back in a ponytail and dark blue eyes. Kaori Taiki and Ted Rusekas were stepbrothers, as suggested by how different they look (Kaori was tall with an asian complexion while Ted was a bit shorter and a bit pudgy). While Kaori silently sat down and immediately immersed himself in a thick textbook-like book, Ted practically cried out, "Hello, everyone, and what is up!" He waved enthusiastically at the people in the class and took his seat, only to grimace when he realized that Vince was sitting behind him in the other table. The two had a history of getting into schoolyard fights with each other, and after an afterschool brawl the previous year that ended up with a few serious injuries, the two only exchanged glances in the hallway. He quickly lifted his layers of shirts to pull up his three-sizes-too-big pants and sat down, pretending that Vince was behind him and glaring holes on his back.
The last to enter the room were the Inoue twins, both with styled black hair, manicured nails, and designer clothes. Both Jen and Lupei were rather well known throughout the school, though Lupei was better known because of her "dating policy," otherwise known as "I'll date you then dump you." Her most famous dumping would have to be from her previous year when she had been dating Ted. She had made a public display of her breakup in between classes later in the day. She had made a complete embarrassment of the poor guy, and when she was seen all over another guy the next day, Ted had been gone for the rest of the week and the next, and from then on she was labelled as a "whore." Her sister, Jen, who was mostly known as an airhead who can be influenced rather easily, always stuck up for her twin, so the two were often found together.
When Lucifer spotted Lupei, he stood up and approached the cheerleader, bending over to whisper something into the short girl's ear. She giggled and, after putting her books down, the two left the classroom, Ted's hurt glare following them out. Lucifer was that other guy Lupei was with the next day after their breakup, and to this day he was still upset and angry at them. As soon as they were gone, he diverted his glare to his graffitied desk. School hadn't even started yet and he was already in a bad mood.
(( omg, I'm so sorry for telling guys people's life stories. D,: plz ignore any mistakes... ))

Oroku wished he could hide right then and there. Pete was scary enough, being the jock type of kid, but Sythiuss was just...terrifying. Then to add to it, Jen, one of the more popular girls, was there. This class was going to be hell.
Shikaru walked into the classroom, wearing her usual black pants and baggy shirt. She sat down in her seat after a glance at the seating chart. Seeing QT with his head down, she decided to poke him with a pencil.
"Wakey wakey idiot," She teased, poking him again.
The next to enter the room was a very familiar sight to every girl there. The red haired teen, Cynyr, had hit on just about every girl in the school, and would do so whenever he had the chance. He saw Rayne, and without even looking at the seating chart walked over to his most recent target.
"Hey Rayne," He said, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Cynyr, knock it off," Bane said as he entered the room and saw his brother, a binder in hand. He looked at the seating chart and then snatched his lithe brother by the arm.
"You sit next to me, come on," Bane was more muscled than Cynyr, probably from working out all the time. He was the fastest kid in the school too, and star of the track team. He forced his brother to sit, not wanting to put up with the "emo-haired idiot."
Ziva, Bane and Cynyr sister, soon entered as well, her crimson hair flowing behind her back. Following her was a younger boy, one that obviously belonged a few grades below them. This boy, Zepeta, was known for being a genious, but also for being very standoffish. Ziva glanced at the chart before going with her cousin to sit across from Bane and Cynyr. The Lyrens were all together here.
Thorn was still not there, hope filling Oroku. He was sure that the blue-haired creep would skip.

Sythiuss watched as more people came in, and his mood gradually worsened. It didn't get much better when the attractive, yet preppy Jen plopped next to him, nor when the bull-headed jock, Pete sat diagonally from him.
The kid across from him seemed terrified, he could see it in his eyes.
It was then that Sythiuss began to feel an emotion he had not experienced in a long time.
Sympathy.
He knew what this poor guy probably had to go through, he seemed the bookish type, and guys like that jock probably wailed on him daily. He still didn't like him anymore than he did before, but he did feel that jocks were bigger scum than he was.
It was then he decided that if he saw anything got started between this kid and their mutual enemies, he would step in. He hated when jocks had their puny egos blown. And beating up nerds happened to be a huge ego-booster of theirs.
He still sat silently, waiting for the class to start, not saying a word, and looking an a "point of interest" on his desk.

Pete's eyes followed Jen when she walked into the classroom and over to their table. There was a momentary interest in them before Pete looked away at the other people coming in with a bored expression looking for a kind of trouble to start or to join in.
"What....I'm asleep...go away..." QT muttered, annoyance in his voice when Shikaru poked him. That was the only thing on his mind, sleep. The utter holiness of being able to close one's eyes and drift away from life of stress to a place full of sugar and kittens. That was what QT yearned for which he will not get until midnight and only to be disturbed five hours later.
Next in the room was Vash Lesent, a neat kid who tries to stay out of trouble even though at times trouble and bad luck likes to follow and pounce on him. This being a perfect example of that, as Vash walked into the room, he tripped over his own feet and nearly falling on his face. The only luck of it was that it was just the beginning of the year so nothing poured out of his dropped binders.
"Damn it..." Vash muttered as he quickly picked up his stuff and looked around for a table to sit at. He spotted his cousin QT and took a seat next to him, almost tripping over QT's chair as he walked around it.
Awshe walked in next and just like Cynyr most girls would know him from being hit on multiple times, however Awshe was more patient and refine than Cynyr. Awshe glanced at the seating chart and a smile crossed his face. All girls, he thought as he crossed the room and took his seat next to Kaori, who he soon realized was not a girl.
"Hey, Kaori's suppose to be sitting there so you better move to your seat before she comes in." Awshe told him, not in a harsh stack up way but a simple, almost in an eager way. Even though Awshe realized that Kaori was not a girl, he did not realize that Kaori is Kaori.

Rayne's eyes went to Cynyr a moment before she rolled them and looked away. She found herself now looking at Awshe. Wonderful.
"...Idiot. That probably is Kaori." Rayne scoffed.
A boy soon entered the room, dressed in a simple blue t-shirt and jeans. His blond hair was a bit shaggy, some strands in his eyes as he looked around a bit with a pair of grey eyes. His left arm hung at his side, tainted with various scars from what appeared to be old burns and cuts, the other arm swinging slightly as he made his way to the seat he saw he was assigned to. He pulled the chair out with his right hand and sat down next to Ty.
"...You've got the right Idea..." He muttered, looking at the girl with her head on the desk. With a sigh, Kamon moved to do just the same.
Right behind Kamon was another boy, Mathew, who was somewhat tall and wore a brown shirt, green vest, brown pants and a belt. Around his neck was a medellion that hung over his chest. He ran a hand through his brown hair and sighed some, looking at the chart.
He paused as he say a familiar name and glanced in the direction of Ezra. With a glance back at the chart he started to make his way to the table his fellow teammate was at despite not being arranged to sit there.
Mathew planted himself down in the seat infront of Ezra, a slight smirk on his face. "Tough Luck, huh?" He asked, knowing Ezra seat mates weren't the best.
Next into the room was a girl with dyed teal hair. Her boots stepped lightly on the floor as she entered, glancing around a bit. She found her seat after looking at the seating chart, being the last one to join the now full table. She sat down quietly, glancing at everyone a moment before a light smile formed upon her face. "..Hey."

Jen looked at her groupmates, blinking a few times and tilting her head to the side. She could feel that everyone was rather tense, which confused her. So, to try to lighten things up, she smiled brightly. "Hello, everyone!" she greeted sweetly. She flipped her curly hair over her shoulder, exposing a small diamond stud earring. "My name's Jen!" She folded her hands over her binder, which was bright pink with various photos of herself with her friends and younger family members showcased in the front.
Kaori didn't move much, but his eyes shifted up so that he was looking at Awshe. It was obvious that his comment made him annoyed. Of course someone would think he was a girl if they just looked at his name, his bastard of a father (who left him with his stepmother when he was younger) decided it would be a brilliant idea to give him a girl's name.
"If it would satisfy your eagerness," he said flatly, focusing his attention back to the book he was reading, which was on wildlife management, "I am Kaori."

Oroku cringed upon hearing Jen's cheerful voice, his eyes scanning over the pictures on her binder. A sad look appeared in his eyes at the sight of her friends and family, and he quickly looked away.
"You better not sleep through this, because I'm not helping you later." Shikaru grumbled, flicking QT on the head.
The others simply chattered away amoung themselves or sat quietly awaiting the teacher (because Kai is too lazy to post them all and Miku's gonna come in next post)

Sythiuss gave Jen a half-hearted nod. Women gave him trouble in more than one area. He simply muttered his name, in hopes that this trite gesture of introduction would get him left alone. He doubted it, but it was worth a shot. He knew that silence would only earn him nagging.
"Sythiuss" he muttered.

"What!? You are Kaori!? But you have fucking balls and no boobs!" Awshe cried out in near horror as he stared at Kaori and masculinity. "Goddamn it! This sucks a lot!" Awshe took his seat with annoyance though soon it was gone as he glanced first at Rayne then at Asha. "So, tell me, how were your two summers?" He asked in a pleasant polite tone.
"Yea you are...just let me sleep." QT muttered as he swatted pitifully at Shikaru's flicking finger. He didn't care about school, let alone math at the moment. He just wanted to sleep.
Pete looked at Jen for a moment, his mouth dropping just a tad as he was going to response but he changed his mind. His eyes shifted up to the ceiling as he pushed his chair back on two legs. "This is a waste of fucking time." He mumbled loud enough so that the three other people at the table could hear.
A bit of a small came on to Ezra's face when Mathew sat down in front of him. "Yea a bit, though not as bad if you manage to stay at this table." Ezra said, hoping that he would be able to but doubting. That thing never works, so he will in the end be stuck with Vince and Thorn.
The next that came in was a black hair girl named Bycema. She was one of those people who are always in the background of things, always there and existing but never anything more then that. The kind that is nice and friendly, getting along with most people but never seem to go beyond that. The one that gets their work done only to do other work, the working being average. Nothing to get notice, but nothing terrible. The work always being at least second best to someone else. Bycema is the kind of person who will blend into a crowd without notice, who seems to have nothing special about her, nothing bad, and is happy about that. The person who seems to just exist, with nothing special happening in their life. The person who is nothing more or less average.
So, she simply walked into the classroom with an arm full of binders and notebook and found her seat and waited for class to start. A pencil already in hand, ready to do whatever tasks the teacher has in mind.

Rayne's emerald eyes looked to Kaori before rolling som eand looking away. She didn't answer him and didn't plan on doing anything but ignoring him. She found him to be an idiot.
"...It was... ok..." Asha mumbles some, looking at Awshe a moment before at her notebook. She'd grabbed a book from her locker as well which was hidden beneath the notebook. "..How was yours?" She tried to be friendly.
Mathew grinned a bit as he sat across from Ezra. "Maybe if everyone keeps their mouth shut we could pull it off.. That way you don't get stuck alone. My table doesn't look all that exciting..." He glanced over to Bycema, then to Lyra who still had her nose in the textbook she'd brought, and finally to the empty seat that belonged to Lucifer.
Kamon kept his head down, half asleep already.
